My Spar Women’s Breakfast

Description:

Spar held their annual women’s breakfast with special guests and giveaways all for the cause of raising funds for the fight against cancer.

Challenges:

The Spar distribution centre has its own conference hall equipped with their own audio-visual equipment. Corporate Event Staging and Spar Western Cape has been partners for more than ten years and we are called in to operate their audio visual equipment on a regular basis. Extra requirements included relay of  the activities to their big screen, extra microphones and  sound with additional lighting.

Solution:

We supplied them with a Sony PD170 camera kit, a camera operator with additional lighting which included two source four profile spots with a  dimmer controller.

We supplied them with an additional Shure E6 headset microphone for speeches, while a Shure SM58 roving microphone was requested by the artist performing. Two JBL Eons where used as stage monitors. We included a FX16 Soundcraft desk to improve the audio quality.

Results:

The function was a huge success, we are proud to have been part of such a special event. The ladies had a great day and more than a hundred thousand rand was handed over to CANSER VIVE. The Guest speaker, Alison Botha’s topic was relevant and Jannie Moolman, an opera singer really wowed the crowd.
