A gala dinner at 15 On Orange for Bayer with a band and dj as entertainment.

The challenge:

Create an unforgettable red carpet experience for arriving guests. Use the existing screens in the room for video playback, a power point presentation and camera relay of the red carpet arrival area. Provide sound and backline equipment for the band and make allowance for speeches and a dj. Use lighting to create a party atmosphere for the dance floor in a venue with a very low ceiling.

The response:

The red carpet was lit with moving LED lights to create a runway effect. Strobe lights were used to emulate paparazzi camera flashes. Crowd noises were played in the background and a search light was the finishing touch to create an authentic Hollywood feel. A camera and a hand microphone was used to conduct red carpet interviews which was relayed to the dinner room. The foyer was lit with LED par cans and the Bayer logo was projected on the walls .

For the visuals, we used a seamless switcher to integrate with the existing LCD flat screens mounted on the walls, and to switch between the various sources. A laptop was used for the Power Point presentation and the videos were played from a dvd player. We provided back line equipment for the band according to their specifications and speeches were made on hand microphones. The dj provided his own equipment which we connected to our sound system.

Lighting was done with a combination of moving heads and LED par cans. Haze machines revealed the light beams and together with the dynamic colour changes and movement created a wonderful party atmosphere.

The event was a great success and an unforgettable experience for the guests.
